about

Hen benillion o’r hwiangerddi wedi eu gosod ar alawon gasglwyd gan Iolo Morganwg. Alawon ar gyfer y mesur barddonol cywydd deuair fyrion ydyn nhw, ac yn ôl pob tebyg yn hynafol iawn.

Tall tales and nonsense verses about about birds, birds nesting and what unpleasantnesses lie in store for the birds nester. The tunes were collected by Iolo Morganwg in the late eighteenth century and bear the name of an ancient bardic metre, cywydd deuair fyrion. The verses are taken from nursery rhyme collections.
